Dear JQ99 Listener,

   We are thrilled to have JQ99 come alongside us in our passion to do “whatever it takes” to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those we love and are called to in Guatemala!  We are even more excited that you have made your way, or maybe better put … God has led you to learn more about what it takes to be an intricate part of His plan for your life and the precious ones crying out in this most beautiful and oppressed Central American country!

   A 36 year civil war, ending just over 10 years ago,  has left Guatemala devastated and it’s people lost and dying.  Most without any Hope for eternity.  Yet through that very same war, poverty, and oppression the doors have busted wide open for the Gospel among the indigenous Mayans scattered throughout this “Land of eternal Spring!”

   Paradise Bound is not a mission sending agency or someone to help with the administrative logistics of  providing you a mission experience.  My wife, children & I are the very missionaries you will live and work with throughout your stay in Guatemala.  We will toil together, cry together, and celebrate together with the angels in heaven as we experience God using each of us to change lives everlastingly!

The Construction

   You will start, finish, and dedicate several 10’ x 12’ homes for those living in cornstalk shelters.  These homes are designed for: ease of construction, security, longevity, but most of all as a tool for the Holy Spirit to work within each family member’s  heart.   Throughout the three days of building; walls come down as they go up and relationships are built allowing us to share the Gospel with them on the third day.  Many entire families give their hearts to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!

The Clinics

   On your forth day we change up everything as we convert from construction into a mobile medical clinic.  We will travel deep into the heart of Guatemala and it’s impoverished, forgotten about villages.  Most in these villages have no access to health care, many are malnourished, suffering from illnesses they don’t need to be.  As we follow the example of Jesus Christ, we bring healing physically, then spiritually through the Jesus Film dvd, our pastor sharing a message of Love, followed by an invitation to accept Christ.  We witness many on their knees before our Lord giving everything over to the very One who gave everything for them!

   Imagine God using YOU to change the life of one living without Hope!

  As you encounter them, you cannot help but encounter the One who sends you!  

The Questions

   Do you need construction or medical experience?  Do you need to speak Spanish?  Do you have to speak in front of crowds or share the Gospel verbally?  Do you need to have everything in life figured out?  Absolutely not!  Though all the information you need to make an informed decision is on the next few pages, you simply need to avail yourself to God.  Nothing more.  God will take care of the rest.  It starts with prayer as

 “Prayer does NOT equip us for the greater work, it IS the greater work!”

   Pray as to your involvement, then allow the only One who can do the work do just that.  First in your heart, then in the hearts of those He calls you to serve!
